A Friendly Reminder: AndyMartello.com is BRAND NEW!
If you haven't been there in awhile for a visit, or if you have never been there at all, please make sure to check out my main website, andymartello.com.
I have always been proud of my website since it truly did attract a lot of customers and was always very popular. Unfortunately, it got a little stale (updates not withstanding) after about 2005, when it was 5 years old. More unfortunate is the fact that I had neither the time nor the money to do a total overhaul.
In 2011 that all changed and a newer, streamlined, ultra-hip andymartello.com was born!
Please be certain to check out The Ultra-Lounge of the Internet and refer me to anyone looking for the best in comedic entertainment.
AGENTS: You can use www.BookAndy.com when referring clients. No contact information of any kind is there and you'll be cashing a commission check in no time.
First night back for Sinsation The Show. Lucky me...I am the ONLY male cast member of this awesome comedy burlesque show this weekend. I know...my life is pretty tough.
Check out the Sinsation website to not only learn about the show (or buy tickets) this weekend at the Royal Resort, but to see just HOW lucky a man I am. ;)
I am very pleased to announce that Sinsation The Show is returning to Las Vegas in a new location. Of course, I am more pleased to say that I will be returning as their featured comedic/variety performer.
Sinsation is a most excellent comedy/burlesque show with music, comedy, beautiful dancers, and of course...yours truly!
You can watch me (OK, you'll probably be watching the girls) during the debut weekend at their new home, The Royal Resort, 99 Convention Center Drive (adjacent to the Strip) in Las Vegas. Don't miss the fun January 13, 14, & 15 at 7:30PM. For tickets please call 702-735-6617 or visit the Sinsation website.
If you take a look at the front page of the Marengo-Union Times this month you'll see a rather familiar face.
NO! Not the kids throwing snowballs! Under them...the guy who looks like me. See? That's me!
In a nice little piece of press from Betsy Wolfe Stemple you can read a lovely career overview and interview with yours truly. It is always nice to get a chance to let the home town crowd know what I'm up to these days and I'm very happy with the article. Who wouldn't like being" a Marengo Comedy Treasure", right?
If you'd like to read it you can head to the Marengo-Union Times website or simply click on the image below. If you like the piece be sure to go to their Facebook, Twitter, or Blogger pages and let them know.
You are all hereby authorized (not ordered...that would be rude) to send these links to everyone in the universe. Not that I get anything out of creating a viral video...but I wanna try!
Two versions of this for you. The "Leaded" (Uncensored = NSFW) and the "Unleaded (Poorly Censored = SFW) .
Andy Martello - Celebrating 25 Years of Corporate Entertainment at its Finest!
Andy Martello America's Premier Corporate Comedian & Entertainer!
Las Vegas headliner, Andy Martello, has been entertaining audiences across the country for 25 years.
Seen in national television commercials and on such programs as NBC's 'Last Comic Standing' & WGN's 'The Bozo Show', Andy's act is always in high demand.
He has opened for legendary singer, GLADYS KNIGHT and has even has performed for President George Bush (the original, NOT the sequel!)
Presently he can be seen headlining on historic Fremont St. at the Four Queens Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas as part of the hilarious comedy magic team, SPIKE AND HAMMER.
A graduate of the famed Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, Andy offers many fantastic programs for your special event, including the crowd favorite - the PLATE SPINNING act. This fast-paced piece of show-business history keeps both young and old on the edges of their seats.
His presentations are appropriate for all ages and his clever blend of stand-up comedy and vaudeville-style juggling makes every show a memorable one.
Just a hair shy of three years later (as of March 17th, 2010) this happened...
From headline to headliner in just a little less than three years. That "disaster" was the best disaster of my life, and that's saying something!
Here's a little bit of entertainment in the form of stand-up comedy (subjective term) about life in Chicago, life after the disaster, and life in Las Vegas. Shot in Laughlin, NV at my first real entertainment booking since moving out west.
Been awhile since I've had any sort of free time to post anything. Perhaps now you'll better understand why.
I am proud to announce that Spike and Hammer (the comedy magic act I'm in...I'm Spike) has recently started our new HEADLINING ENGAGEMENT at the fabulous Four Queens Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas!
Here are the details...
WHAT: Afternoon Comedy Magic Show Starring Spike and Hammer
WHERE: Four Queens Hotel & Casino on Fremont St. in Downtown Las Vegas
WHEN: Wednesday through Sunday at 4PM (with a second show being added soon)
This has been a long time in the making and I can't be happier, if not a bit tired. It is all worth it though as this show is a great deal of fun for me and a great value for the folks in Las Vegas.
PLEASE spread the word to friends or family visiting Vegas. This show is just the beginning. Expect to hear some more great news in the near future.
PS: I will have a couple of days off a week to dedicate to the EL Rey project once the show is fully settled into the new home. Stay tuned!
Here's a video of something I've been working on for the show I can't tell you much about. Since I have had nothing but blind faith that the move to Vegas would be the right thing to do and blind faith that the new act will be the reason Fate brought me here, it seems only fitting that a big part of the show will feature me blindfolded.
I've got an ad coming out in a free magazine that goes to several golf clubs/country clubs in the Vegas Valley. Great pricing on the ad and it runs for a full year in front of the people with the money to buy some quality entertainment. The guy selling me the ad used the selling point that the professional graphics department would be able to come up with a suitable ad based upon a visit to my website. Naturally I was doubtful. Generally when this sort of creation occurs, the folks have no real idea what to promote, especially since they are not entertainers and are most likely looking for photos to use instead of talking points that would make an impact. Just because you're in graphics or advertising doesn't mean you know jack about selling a comedy juggling act.
Here's the ad they came up with.
See what I mean? They didn't even get my phone number right.
Undeterred and more than capable of believing in my own abilities I tweaked the ad and sent them my concept. I based it upon their starting point and made it fit with my current promotional campaigns, something I knew they wouldn't be able to do without actually consulting me.
Here's the final version.
It may not be perfect but it is way better than the first version.
