On Fox Nos, uh - News right now there's Hannity going out of his way to expose ACORN for some wrong-doing and therefore, declare Obama ineligible for his office.

CNN, after causing a minor panic this September 11 morning, has decided to have Larry King interview Kathy Griffin.

MSNBC is showing the actual footage, with limited editing, from the morning of 9/11/2001 as it happened. No commentary. No politics. Just the harsh reality of the harshest of events. The 20/20 hindsight is more than evident when hearing the reporter at the Pentagon (prior to the plane hitting THAT building) stating that, there was no indication that any sort of an attack could have been made or was forthcoming.

I truly appreciate the gravity and the insight that focusing on the past can bring to a night where I was otherwise worried about my career, cyber-arguing with some guy about the pros and cons of a Disney/Marvel merger, and watching naughty videos online.

I can promise you this, not one person who perished in the buildings, on the planes, and on the ground below spent even a millisecond of their horrific end thinking, "Thank God I voted for [insert candidate name here]". They were thinking about their families, their own lives, and their homes found within a country that had clearly come to a crossroad. That same country has now gone more than off-road entirely.

The petty insanity of it all; the Birthers, the Tea Pansies, & all the people creating falsehoods about death panels and illegal aliens getting free band-aids - these were people who so proudly united and stood hand-in-hand out of fear and out of a need for survival, regardless of politics, lo those relatively few years ago. Where are they now? On a bus to go to Glenn Beck's 9/12 plea for new sponsors

The Common Good, the needs of the many, the belief that "United We Stand" - it is all thrown out the window and all that is left to remind us of what we felt back then is running on MSNBC for a few hours.

I am certain there were tributes and stories all over the place, even on the other networks and, blogs, and papers. I am generally not one to spend much time trying to relive the past or to get all sullen on the anniversary of the biggest national tragedy of my lifetime to be sure. However, I think it is high time that more people take a look at what they're watching and where they're getting their so-called news. While I didn't "need" to see those events unfold again, I can't help but conclude many truly NEED to rethink their views of the world. We all need to do one thing and do it with the clarity we all felt those years ago - REMEMBER.
